A leader must be able to set ego and personal interests aside to look at the data and make decisions based on the interests of the customer – whether that be internal or external.”
As a nutrition leader, Damon attends several industry events each year to learn about new ingredients and manufacturing techniques and to stay abreast with the latest compliances. Reading and professional coaching help Damon ensure that he is always improving his approach to people management, customer experience, and business strategy.
Within the organization, Damon promotes a culture of individual enablement and empowerment to make decisions grounded in the company’s values of quality, safety, and trust. “Whether that is an idea for a new product formula, a way to improve the customer experience, or how to better educate users, the company embraces the creativity of its team members,” says Damon.
Staying a Cut Above the Rest
Whether it is creating personalized supplements or diving into data to gather insight into customer behavior, the Natural Cure Labs’ focal point – the customer- remains unshaken. Over time, the company has methodically and strategically expanded its portfolio of offerings based on data gathered over the years.
For example, when consumer interest in elderberry products increased in 2020, the company was able to formulate, manufacture, and release a custom elderberry blend in less than six weeks in response to consumer demand. Similarly, when a large portion of customers expressed challenges with thyroid health, the company produced a highly custom thyroid support product using patented capsule technology. “Constantly monitoring the industry, consumer feedback, and trends helps keep the company one step ahead of the competition,” opines Damon.
