Alethia Tucker emphasizes the importance of strategic quitting. “There’s a difference between giving up and knowing when something isn’t for you,” she says. “I’ve learned to trust my intuition—if something drains me more than it fuels me, it’s time to reassess.” She reevaluates when a pursuit no longer aligns with her values or vision, leaves her feeling drained, or requires forcing something that no longer fits. “Every ‘no’ to the wrong thing is a ‘yes’ to the right one,” she adds.

Looking ahead, Tucker has no plans of slowing down. In fact, she’s doubling down on her commitment to help more women find their voices and create the impact they are meant to have. One of the initiatives that has her most excited is the Ms. Corporate America Maryland competition, which she is growing into a platform for women to gain exposure, mentorship, and opportunities in business and leadership. “There’s a whole world of women out there who need to be seen and heard,” Tucker says. “I want to be part of the movement that gives them the space and the tools to step into their full potential.” Along with the competition, Tucker is developing The Thrive Academy, a new program designed to give women the mindset, strategies, and tools they need to create lasting transformation in their lives. She is also expanding her publishing services, helping women share their stories through books and anthologies. “Storytelling is powerful,” Tucker says. “I want women to see that their experiences—no matter how challenging—can be turned into a narrative that empowers others.” Perhaps the most exciting initiative, however, is the expansion of Tucker’s leadership coaching and retreats. These live events will allow women to deepen their personal growth journeys while connecting with others who are on similar paths. “The idea is to create a space where women can not only learn but also build lasting relationships that foster support and collaboration,” Tucker explains.

Tucker’s vision for the future is bold: she plans to grow Jolease Enterprises into a global movement, impacting thousands of women through coaching, publishing, leadership development, and community building. Her focus will remain on helping women break generational cycles, step into their power, and create lasting impact in their lives and communities. “We are building legacy work here,” she says. “I want to create something that will outlive me—something that continues to empower women for generations to come.”
